Would You Rather? With Steven & Jazmin from Travel To Blank!
WOULD YOU RATHER? A series of interviews with Travellers, Bloggers, Travel Bloggers and just generally interesting people. We’ll ask a series of difficult travel questions with two possible answers. They’ll tell us what they would choose and why.
For this Article we have Steven & Jazmin from Travel To Blank. They left their jobs to become world travellers and since then have travelled to over 40 countries. Knocking some amazing destinations off their bucket list such as the Galapagos Islands, Iceland, Morocco, Machu Picchu, Plitvice Lakes, Bangkok, Iguazu Falls and much more. They focus on creating Walking Guides of each destination they visit, as well as creating itineraries, Pet Friendly and Romantic Getaway Guides.
Jazmin was born and raised in Guayaquil, Ecuador. She graduated from the University of Colorado Boulder with a dual degree in Marketing and Human Resources and a certificate in Digital Media. Her favorite part of traveling is actually the planning, making sure they can take advantage of every second, through long layovers or spur of the moment day trips. Steven was born and raised in Boston, MA. He has traveled extensively around the United States, hitting all 50 states before he was 23. He graduated from the University of Colorado Boulder with degrees in Jewish Studies and Journalism-News/Editorial. Steven has many passions that has lead to his traveling lifestyle; hiking, history and red eyes. His favorite way to get to know a new city or culture is over a local beer.
Now to the questions …
Which Spanish festival would you rather take part in La Tomatina the tomato based food fight or the Haro Wine Battle a red wine based water fight?
JAZMIN: Haro Wine Battle.
STEVEN: Defiantly would pick the Haro Wine Battle, it sounds much more delicious.
For one of the biggest parties in the world, would you rather attend Burning Man Festival in Nevada or Carnival in Rio de Janeiro?
JAZMIN: Carnival in Rio de Janeiro.
STEVEN: I would have to go with Carnival in Rio as there is much less sand to deal with in everything.
From a street market in India, would you rather try Fire Paan or Ice Paan?
JAZMIN: None.
STEVEN: Ice Paan for sure as I am not looking to eat fire.
For the duration of a 2 week trip would you rather eat Italian food in France or French food in Italy?
JAZMIN: Italian food in France.
STEVEN: I would rather eat Italian food in France, because I still need to see so much of France!
You’ve already visited Macchu Picchu in Peru but which new wonder of the world would you rather visit next Petra in Jordan or Christ the Redeemer in Brazil?
JAZMIN: I have already gone to Petra so I will say Christ the Redeemer.
STEVEN: Petra in Jordan just looks so fascinating, I would love to visit one day!
Would you rather climb to Everest Base Camp at 5,380m or Mount Kilimanjaro at 5,895m?
JAZMIN: Mount Kilimanjaro.
STEVEN: I would rather climb Mount Kilimanjaro. I can say I reached the peak, rather than the base of Everest!
For a close up animal encounter, which adventure in Africa would you rather take on, visiting the Mountain Gorillas in Uganda or Great White Shark cage diving in South Africa?
JAZMIN: Mountain Gorillas in Uganda.
STEVEN: I would rather visit the Mountain Gorillas in Uganda.
Would you rather drive the Wild Atlantic Way along the west coast of Ireland or the North Coast 500 in Scotland?
JAZMIN: Both.
STEVEN: It is hard to pick between the two, but Ireland does pull ahead in the end.
Would you rather have free business class flights for you both for the rest of your lives or $250,000 right now?
JAZMIN: $250,000 right now!
STEVEN: Honestly, getting the best seat on a flight has never been important to me. On the other hand $250,000 is a good amount to invest and utilize on future travels, regardless of the means of transportation.
You wrote a Complete Walking Guide to Budapest, when you were there, for your next walking guide would you rather visit and write up Havana in Cuba or Cape Town in South Africa?
JAZMIN: I just visited Havana so I would say Cape Town (they were both super high on my bucket list).
STEVEN: Well, we actually have a guide to Havana, Cuba in our website drafts at the moment, waiting to go live soon! So, the easy winner is Cape Town in South Africa.
You both love walking and have completed the Camino de Santiago, a great achievement. Which long distance trek would you rather take on next the GR20 across 112 miles over 14 days in Corsica, France or the Tour du Mont Blanc across 110 miles over 11 days in France, Italy and Switzerland?
JAZMIN: The Tour du Mont Blanc across 110 miles over 11 days in France, Italy and Switzerland.
STEVEN:I would pick the Tour du Mont Blanc to complete first. Although it would be fantastic to have the opportunity for both hikes.
Running the profile @traveltowoof you are both big dog lovers. Which city and statue wold you rather get to see next Greyfriars Bobby in Edinburgh known for guarding the grave of his owner or Hachikō in Tokyo known for waiting perseveringly for the return of his deceased owner for more than nine years?
JAZMIN: Hachikō.
STEVEN: I would rather get to see Hachikō in Tokyo.
